My Journey began at the age of 12 when I got my first guitar. I can remember holding it and feeling completely clueless, but yet I had a burning desire to learn.
Over the next 20 years I would develop the knowledge and skills to play in multiple bands, perform across multiple states, and network with some worldwide touring artist playing everything from Country, Blues, and Classic Rock to Alternative, Folk, and Progressive Metal.
Began taking lessons from Neoclassical Guitar Virtuoso Matthew Mills. Joined the Houston local rock/metal band AV8, and officially launched my solo artist career.
My mission is to streamline all this information and help everyone who has an interest in music and guitar to gain knowledge/ skills needed to achieve their personal goals without sifting through thousands of online videos filled with confusing and contradicting information. Learning by yourself is risky, often times leading to the development of bad habits and poor technique. KC Guitar Academy is here to prevent that.
